Everyone needs to getaway from the real world every once in awhile. A day to spend with friends and worry about nothing. A day to get totally hammered and not get caught by the cops or have to sneak into the house at night. Well, Taylor was about to get that getaway. He and his friends had been talking about this Saturday all week. They bought a bunch of beer and drugs after school Friday to prepare themselves for the next day. A whole day to themselves, no worries in the world, in the great outdoors. That's right, he and his friends were about to party till the sun came down in the woods.
Saturday morning, Taylor packed himself some food, a sleeping bag (you never know when that could come in handy), and his iPhone. Then he wrote a note on the counter saying that he would be gone all day at a friend's house and to call him if they needed. Of course, he probably wouldn't answer his parents' calls. He had told them that he was going to a friend's house and his Dad had objected at first. He had yelled something about needing to do homework, stop going to your friends all the time, blah blah blah. Taylor usually tuned his father out. Luckily, his mom, the more reasonable one, agreed to let him go. This, in turn, caused an arguement between his parents, but whatever - he was allowed to go out today. Sure, he hated seeing his parents fight, especially when it was about him, and he definitely didn't like his siblings ragging on him for making them fight; but that was almost an everyday occurrence. Taylor was used to all this by now, but he still felt bad, though he would never admit it.
Whatever, I'm here to have a good time, not dwell on shit. He waited outside to be picked up by the truck and when it came, it was party time. The drive was a little less than half an hour. They set up camp a few miles away from the ravine. The ravine was always packed with people and they wanted something a bit more personal, someplace quiet where it was only them. After screaming to Eminem and Florence and the Machine the whole way there, they finally arrived at their destination. Taylor helped carry the coolers and the food down on a blanket. He reached in the cooler and got out three beers, then found his friends, Parker and Addison. Handing them each a beer, he opened his own and said, "This day is going to be the greatest ever, and it's all because I get to spend it with the two hottest chicks ever." He grinned at them, winked, and took a sip of his beer.

when taylor and addison had shown up outside her house in the car to pick her up, parker had strutted outside and through the perfectly trimmed green law that was oh-so-fitting for suburbia, just like always. she always strutted, like those girls on the runways in italy and france that her parents took pictures of. she wore a gray sweatshirt borrowed from her brother's girlfriend that had never been given back, and short shorts, big, movie star-esque sunglasses covering the bags under her eyes, and a big black bag holding nothing important but her blackberry. the previous night she had been up late, sampling different drinks from her parents' liquor cabinet, the one they hadn't yet learned to lock. parker always looked nice, like she had tried hard to look good, just not on that particular day. from what they had planned, she figured that they weren't doing much, just getting fucked up -- even though parker always refrained from drug use, she knew her friends wouldn't -- so there wouldn't be anyone that she needed to look appealing for, anyway.
the day held a lot of things she always did, just routine. nothing that interesting ever happened on most days, even though parker had been looking forward to that particular saturday for the whole week. her parents had been home from monday through early friday morning, and so they had kept their darling child on lockdown, and practically sucked the life out of her. so, on the day they left, she launched herself back into her usual habits, and on the day after, she was in a particularly good mood, and those who knew her well could tell by all of the things she did. she sang along to the music on the way to the ravine and to their camp site, she didn't help unload the car and instead watched her friends do the work with one hand on her hip like she was late for a meeting, she belted out overly dramatic sentences like a script of a soap opera, and she waited for the beer to be served to her instead of getting it herself. instead, parker kicked off her shoes and sat on the blanket, leaned back against the giant tree behind her and laid her big black leather purse next to her in a just-so manner, waited for the beer to arrive.
it was in a glass bottle. parker liked the glass better than the cans. the cool feeling of the glass on her lips was much more delightful than the cans that got warm too fast. she eyed the bottle hungrily while taylor carried it over to her, and eagerly grabbed it out of his hand, pressing the cool glass to her lips instantly and taking a few swigs. parker tried hard not to notice how her friends drank their beers: they sipped, while she attacked the bottle and gulped a few mouthfuls down as soon as it was in her palm. that wasn't right. yes, it was, parker, it's just a hobby-slash-habit, and it makes everything more fun, anyway. parker grinned at taylor's comment, her already sunburnt cheeks would have taken the tiniest bit of color had they not already been red even though they flirted all the time, "i can't argue with that," she purred, talking just like she always did, like she was humming her words. she tilted her giant sunglasses down and looked over the top, giving taylor a once-over, "you look pretty okay today. don't sweat it, though," she grinned, winking before putting her sunglassse back up, "you can't always look this good." she pointed to herself. "oh," she added lazily, adjusting her face so it caught more sun and parker could feel the warmth on her skin, "and yes, it will be a positively marvelous day!"

Today was the day. It was definitely more important than any other drug induced day she’d had so far, mainly because she would be spending her time with Parker and Taylor in the woods while tripping on shrooms. She wasn’t sure if Parker would join in on the fun mainly because of her dislike of drugs, but Addison couldn’t care less; it left more shrooms for her and Taylor and she knew that guy wouldn’t turn down getting fucked up, especially after spending all that time in his house. Parker had been on lockdown recently too and Addison was glad she didn’t have parents that cared. If they did, she probably wouldn’t be where she was right now. She’d be locked in the house unable to get out of her parents’ grips no matter how hard she tried and her body would be bruised from all the lashings her dad placed on her. She shook her head to clear her thoughts, however, for she didn’t want this trip to be bad. She wanted to have the most fun she could have possible and not have a care in the world.
Luckily, she had been the one to think of this trip and so had also been the one to volunteer to drive. She had enough money to get enough gas for them to go to the farthest woods farthest away from her house as well as everyone else’s. She knew Parker and Taylor were as anxious as her to get out of their parents’ grasps and out into the open, which was why today was so perfect. Stretching, she rolled out of bed and reached for her phone to see what time it was. She grinned, seeing that it was almost time for their adventures to begin. She hopped in the shower and got ready as fast as she could, putting her make up on and such. She wore heavy eyeliner as usual and then rushed into her room to slip into her clothes, which were black combat boots, a leather jacket with a nice shiny shirt inside, and a vintage like messy flower print skirt. She then grabbed the keys to her car as well as her bag, rushed out of the house, and hopped into her beloved car.
Picking up Taylor was her first priority for she’d rather be in alone with him in a car first than with Parker for Parker had been getting on her nerves lately, unfortunately. She laughed and joked with Taylor but upon arriving at Parker’s house, her mood grew a bit sour. Addison watched as Parker strutted to the car. She always did that, Addison noticed. Parker was one of those people that did nothing for themselves and waited for everything to be handed to them, this was best shown by the fact that she didn’t help Taylor and Addison unload the car and set up camp at all, but instead, stood and watched them with one hand on her hip, almost feigning a look of impatience. Addison rolled her eyes, especially at the scripted words the girl spoke. Well, of course they weren’t scripted but they sure sounded like they were. Eventually, everything was unpacked and the three sat down together on a blanket in the middle of the woods where no one could see them. It was the perfect spot to do exactly what they had planned.
Addison had been about to reach for a beer when Taylor waved her on and she sat down beside Parker, who looked a bit like a diva out here in these woods with her overly large sunglasses and snotty attitude. She shrugged to herself, disregarding Parker’s actions for she wanted to have fun tonight. She didn’t want anything to spoil her night, especially if it was from the likes of her overly pompous best friend. Once Taylor arrived, he handed her and Parker beers before making a comment about how it would be a great day since he would be spending it with the two hottest chicks ever. Addison threw him a smirk and winked before tossing out a small laugh and opening her own beer, taking a swig and gulping down the contents. She opened her mouth, about to speak, but shut it once Parker’s voice interrupted her. She glanced towards her friend and listened to her comments, which were mostly about how Taylor couldn’t look as good as she could and a small sigh escaped Addison’s pale pink lips. Of course Taylor could look as good as Parker, hell he looked wayyy better than Parker, but Addison just grinned and noded in agreement. She knew she wasn’t being too obvious with her feelings towards Parker at the moment for no one had said anything. She pushed her thoughts out of her head and brushed a strand of her platinum blonde hair out of her face, taking another swig of her beer. ”Yes, today will be marvelous!”
She agreed, grinning and throwing a wink towards them, she being the only one to know that she was inwardly mocking Parker because, lucky for her, Addison was a brilliant liar and she was great at acting, hence why she wanted to become an actress one day, if she could ever get off the drugs enough for that. Deciding not to think about that, she hastily finished her beer and eagerly reached for another one, smiling while she opened it before taking a swig and glancing towards her friends. ”So how should we begin the day?” Her voice had a hint of mystery to it and she was already ready to pull out the shrooms and weed from her bag, but only when she got the okay from everyone else. She assumed they wouldn’t want to do them til later since it was only around five in the afternoon, but shrugged to herself, deciding to wait til they gave her some signal. Hanging with two of his best friends, sipping beers in the outdoors, was a fantastic way to spend his day. And he needed this day. Ever since his parents caught him stumbling in at 2 am wasted, reeking of alcohol and pot, last month; they pretty much have watched him like a hawk since. That night was awful. He had gotten shit-faced at a party and had smoked more than he had intended. So when his parents, his Dad more so, yelled at him, he yelled back and even threw a lamp across the room. That was the first time that his Dad slapped him. He had been spanked plenty of times when he was a lot younger, but that was different. Taylor knows now that he deserved to get slapped; throwing a lamp wasn't cool. But that night, being as belligerent as he was, getting slapped sent him over the edge. After supposedly yelling more obscene comments, he stormed outside and ran down the street, running to anywhere but his house. Taylor doesn't really remember much about that night; his brother had to relay most of what happened. As Taylor was running, he vaguely remembered his brother running after him so that Taylor wouldn't get hit by a car or something. For a week after that incident, his brother spoke to him as little as possible. Yeah, that night wasn't his fine moment; he's grateful that he can't remember much. So Taylor was really surprised when his mother allowed him to go on this trip; his parents were clueless to what Taylor was going to do, but it wouldn't be a hard guess. His mother was a big softie, but Taylor figured that she let him go because she was tired of dealing with him at home. He'd be tired of dealing with himself too if the roles were switched.
Anyway, Taylor was here and that was all that mattered. He could finally get wasted and not have to worry about any consequences. It had been so long since he had gotten wasted that it took all he had not to down five beers and grab the drugs from Addison's bag. But he had willpower and he could wait a few hours. Anyway, Taylor wanted to savor the cool liquid burning his throat. As he handed two anxious girls a beer and sat down on the blanket with Addison and Parker on both sides of him, he took a swig of his own beer and leaned back on his elbows, glancing up at the trees. Squinting up at the sun, Taylor put on his aviators. He wore a green hurley tee, dark-washed straight-leg jeans, and his favorite black Volcom shoes. His short brown hair hung in his face.
Taylor didn't take any offense to what Parker said. That was just how she was, over-confident and slightly prissy. He didn't usually mind her cocky attitude; her strutting like she was a runway model or a high-end socialite was sort of cute. Of course, sometimes Parker's dramatics could get annoying when she did it in excess. But normally, Taylor didn't mind. He playfully rolled his eyes and gently shoved her. "Right, because no one can ever amount to Queen Parker's level," He sarcastically drawled. Turning to Addison, he gave her a smirk. He knew that Addison and Parker, though they were best friends, butted heads sometimes. Though the two shared similarities, they had pretty different personalities. He took another sip of his drink and then noticed that Parker's beer was more than half empty. "Woah, slow down girl! The day is young." He joked with Parker. She was a heavier drinker than he was; he could function without alcohol, he just didn't want to. However, pot was kind of a different story. He was pretty addicted to smoking. Oh well.
Taylor took another big swig of his beer, reveling in the taste. He turned toward Addison when she asked him and Parker what to do today. He figured she was ready to break into the drugs. He was itching to smoke some weed as well, but he didn't know how Parker would feel about that. Taylor didn't really know why Parker was so against drugs; she had never told him. He deciding to wait and see if Parker gave the okay, not wanting to leave her out. "I think, first," Taylor spoke up, reaching over Addison and putting his iPod in the speakers, blaring his party playlist, "we should put on some tunes." The opening chords of Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" began playing. Taylor laid back down on the blanket and closed his eyes, finishing off his first - and definitely not his last - beer.

whenever parker's parents were in town, there was a lack of fun. everywhere. even the parties that parker could sneak out to, with their loud music and sweaty attendees, didn't seem quite as fun, not if the parents decided to show up. when her parents were around, parker became that perfect student of a daughter everyone wanted. she even ran on that treadmill she usually used as a coat hanger, did all of her homework and cleaned the house, did everything before they even asked it. there was a possibility of all of this good-naturedness appearing just because of her need to please her parents, and win back that attention that she had reveled in as a child, instead of letting the girls on catwalks with twigs for arms and lifeless eyes who her parents photographed take her place. secretly, when the parents were home, she wanted to be the parker that could do no wrong, that was near perfect. what was more, these days, she even wanted to be a girl who was tall and skinny and gorgeous and could strut even better than parker already could, even though she would never admit any of those things to anyone, the thoughts still lingered in her mind for weeks and weeks after her parents left, exiting just before her parents arrived again.
parker narrowed her eyes behind her glasses at what taylor said, though not in anger at anyone around her. of course she was a queen, though her parents preferred to ignore that fact, leave their queen alone for months. "i can't argue with that, either," she replied smoothly, matching taylor's sarcastic tone. parker lifted her bottle back up to her lips, aching for that familiar, fabulous blur that would blend all the world together. then he opened his mouth again, commented on the small bit of beer sloshing around in the bottom of her bottle. she put the bottle down on the ground in front of her, growing visibly flustered. she knew that her friends wouldn't care even if they did know how much alcohol she consumed, but it was another thing to think that it was no big deal if they did, and another to hear someone comment on it. when she heard a joking sort in his voice, she relaxed and raised the bottle once again, inwardly scolding herself at becoming so uptight. "hey, if you two are gonna get high and all that jazz, i'm allowed to make up for it." she finally said, flashing a grin and taking another swig, finishing off one bottle.
when taylor turned up the music, parker rested her head back against the tree, looking straight up with a look of distaste. addison hadn't spoken to her once today, not without having to. parker had either annoyed the shit out of her friend what with her overcompensating with time for fun lost, or there were some not-so-nice thoughts going on in her blonde head. it made her worried -- it wasn't that parker would shrink back if they got in some kind of verbal battle, but she was alone in the woods with two very, very good friends and if parker died, she would surely, surely be buried by two people. overdramatizing things again, parker. no, she was only just worried about a verbal battle because addison and taylor were better friends that she was with him, and he would pick her side and she would have to leave and then there would be no one to walk home with and she would have to get completely smashed and sleep with the most attractive boy that crossed her path.
to overcompensate.

Leaning back on her elbows like Taylor, Addison noticed how comfortable it really was. She smirked and looked up at the sun, squinting her eyes a bit. She noticed Taylor was doing the same and followed his lead, putting her aviators on as well. Now that the sun wasn’t so bright and in her face anymore, she grinned and reached into her bag for her pack of Camel Menthols and a lighter. She sparked up a cigarette and took a long drag, contemplating on what to say. She heard Taylor’s comment and smiled upon seeing the smirk that resided itself against his beautiful features. He knew exactly how she was feeling and she arched an eyebrow playfully at him before taking another swig of her beer. This was how she wanted to die, with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Or maybe a diet coke. She wasn’t sure yet but all she knew was that she was pretty content with the situation, whether Parker was there or not. Course, Parker wasn’t really being too obnoxious so she shrugged it off.
A laugh escaped her lips at hearing Taylor’s comment towards the amount of beer left in Parker’s beer. Addison would’ve spoken up had she not already been on her second beer so kept quiet and continued to drink her beer. She smirked in amusement at seeing that she was already half way done with her second beer but yet wasn’t really tipsy at all. That usually happened though. Though she wasn’t as heavy a drinker as Parker, she could sure drink a lot of alcohol and still hold her liquor after multiple beers. She remembered going out one night with Taylor and getting fucked up as shit having had almost eight beers, same with Taylor, and walking around her neighborhood just not giving a fuck about anything. Course, later that night she and Taylor fucked, having been high out of their minds at around 4 in the morning and since they both were bored and the moment was there, they decided ‘why not?’. A small smile crept onto her face at that thought before she was brought back to reality by movement out of the corner of her eye.
Her gaze landed on Parker, who looked visibly flustered and she arched an eyebrow in question. She opened her mouth to comment, but decided against it once the girl composed herself and started speaking. She grinned at Parker’s comment and shrugged, ”Hey you think we give a fuck? Go right ahead.” She then lightly shoved Parker jokingly before taking another drag of her cigarette. Subconsciously, she was trying to make up for her sour mood by trying to be more friendly towards Parker. It wasn’t like they were enemies, after all. They were best friends and Addison mentally face palmed herself because judging by the look of distaste that crossed Parker’s features, she wasn’t too happy about the situation either. She shrugged to herself and leaned back, listening to the music playing through Taylor’s iPod. She grinned at hearing the song that he picked. ”You would pick this song,” She muttered jokingly, tossing a smile his’ and Parker’s way before taking a drag of her cigarette and finishing off her second beer.
”I’m in awe that it’s this early and I’m already on my third beer,” Addison joked, reaching in the cooler for another beer and cracking it open before taking a swig. ”Looks like I’m beating you for once, Park” She joked once more, trying to make sure this day didn’t all go to shit. She took one last drag of her cigarette and tossed the butt over her head, not really giving a fuck about where it landed. This was a pretty wide open space anyway, considering it was a forest, so she was sure there wouldn’t be anyone scowering the ground in search of cigarette butts left by some delinquent kids. She glanced towards Taylor and grinned before asking, ”Mind if I pick a song? It won‘t be bad, I promise.”
A grin followed as she relished the feeling of the alcohol running down her throat before looking towards her friend again, awaiting a response. Taylor grinned at Parker's sarcasm, glad that she got his humor. He was never brash toward his friends, especially his girl friends - girls always loved to start drama. He glanced at Addison as she laid down beside him, his grin growing wider. He breathed in the cigarette smell and finished his first beer. Then he grabbed another bottle and popped the cap. Sipping his second, he smiled as the cool liquid burned his throat again. He couldn't wait to get that buzz. Sure, being sober was fine, but Taylor much preferred being drunk. Everything was so easy and careless when he was drunk or high.
He turned back to Parker and said, "Don't worry, we've got plenty of booze to go around." He smiled at her, glad that she didn't take any offense to what he had said. She drank a lot more than he did, and so did Addison; those two were hard to keep up with sometimes. But that's why he liked them both; they kept him on his toes. Taylor took a big gulp of his beer and sighed happily. He tapped his fingers to Lil Wayne, chuckling at Addison's remark. "Hey, Lollipop is a classic." He loved rap music; the lyrics and beats were sick, and he could relate to them. He felt lost too, like he didn't know how to get back to reality anymore. His good conscience was always an impending little voice in the back of his head, saying that he shouldn't be partying so much. But that voice could always be blocked out with alcohol and drugs. And he would much rather not have his father's voice in his head if he could help it. Taylor took another gulp and shook his head, not wanting to think anymore.
Taylor chuckled at how fast Addison and Parker downed their beers. They awed him, that was for sure. And he suddenly had a desire to makeout with both of them. A threesome with those two would be pure gold. I must be feeling a bit tipsy, Taylor coyly thought. He was always hornier when intoxicated. As he watched Addison finish her cigarette, he grew hungry to smoke pot. He shrugged when she asked if she could change the song. "Knock yourself out," he replied. Addison had good taste in music, anyway. Finishing his second beer, Taylor had a strong urge to smoke. The night was young, sure, but he hadn't felt that rush of pure bliss when high in what seemed like forever. "Do you have a joint?" He nonchalantly asked Addison. Feeling his head grow heavy from the alcohol, Taylor needed a fix.

parker reached for another bottle gladly after both of her friend's replies to her quick drinking habit, popping the cap in an expert manner and pressing it to her lips, all in one smooth motion that screamed: i've done this a million and two times. she listened to her friends converse, not exactly feeling as if she should talk at the moment. instead she leaned back against her tree, glaring at the sun that couldn't burn her eyes through her sunglasses. she often had staring competitions with the sun, but only usually on days when she was alone and drunk on the beach. she liked to lie on a certain bench in a certain way and drink and stare and drink and stare until her parents' friends came to walk her home and make sure the doors and windows were locked before they left her alone in her big white house.
she laughed at taylor's song choice, at least once addison mentioned it, stopping her staring competition for a minute to pay close attention to the conversation. parker grinned at addison's beating her in the whole drinking thing; even though addison didn't actually know that she was one of those people who got drunk by themselves, too. "cute," she replied in a joking manner, wrinkling her nose when she was called 'park' but decided not to snap about how she was not a car or a spot for them to sit atop. "i think we all know that i'll win the long run." she said with a soft giggle tied onto the end. it was rather true; while her friends smoked whatever it is they brought she would sit and drink and watch and talk when necessary. when taylor asked for a joint; parker frowned in the slightest, but then looked up at the sun again, hoping to start another competition....no, it was stuck behind the trees.

Addison relished in the cool liquid searing down her throat and smirked slightly, tilting her head up to glance towards the sun. It was slowly moving behind a tree and she smiled, glad that the game of hide and seek had begun. Lucky for her, she was a real person and the sun was not, so she automatically won. She rolled her eyes in amusement at the course her thoughts were taking before bringing her attention back to Taylor. She nodded upon hearing his statement that they had plenty of booze to go around, which was definitely the truth. Whenever the three of them went out on outings similar to this one, there were always bottles of alcohol galore as well as whatever drugs Addison and Taylor decided to bring that time. It was always fun and usually consisted of the three of them acting completely retarded. Yeah, good times.
Upon hearing his comment about the song, Addison shifted her body so she could face him a bit better so she didn‘t have to turn her head all the way around whenever she wanted to talk to him. “Yeah, Lollipop is a classic, my ass,
” She replied jokingly, tossing a chuckle towards him. She did like this song but she was in the mood for something different, something that would have her dancing like mad. She loved to dance when she was fucked up and light up sparklers and move them around like they were dancing, especially when she was tripping. Everything was so different when you were tripping, your thought process is so different and you can’t seem to grasp reality in the slightest. But that was how Addison wanted it to be, hence why she partied so much. When she drank or got high, she didn’t ever have to think about anything, especially her family, and those kinds of topics were the ones she wanted to avoid the most. She grinned at seeing Parker wrinkle her nose and call the nickname ‘park’ cute, though Addison knew Parker wasn’t too fond of it. Addison was the type of girl to just call people random things and she usually did just that when she was bored or she just had nothing else better to do. Hearing Parker’s next comment about how she would win in their make shift drinking contest made her chuckle. “ I don’t doubt that.” A grin followed her words as she glanced towards Parker. Her eyes caught those of Taylor’s and thank god she was hiding behind her Ray Bands because she couldn’t stop staring at him. He was beautiful, more beautiful than she had even realized and a sinking feeling entered her chest as she watched Parker and Taylor exchange glances towards each other. Of course it was meant to be friendly and it definitely was but she felt like maybe there was something deeper…course, maybe she was just drunk and that’s why she was jumping to conclusions. Taylor wasn’t her’s but, still…she shook her head, just wanting to clear her thoughts. Man, she was tired of thinking. Thankfully she was brought back into reality by the sound of Taylor’s voice. It sounded distant and almost echoed in her head, but she blamed the alcohol. She grinned at his positive response and reached for the iPod, scrolling through his choice of artists and her grin remained firmly in place at seeing that he had Eminem. “ You’re gonna love this.” Clicking on the button, ‘Till I Collapse’ started blaring through the speakers and Addison, feeling accomplished and amused, leaned back on her hands and smiled. It wasn’t long before Taylor asked if she had a joint and she grinned at him, taking her glasses off so she could see him more properly, considering the sun would be going down sooner rather than later. Digging around inside her purse, she found her hidden zipper where she kept her stash at all times because you never know when there will be a party. She took out a pack of what looked like cigarettes, but it really held about 3 or 4 joints. She had rolled them the previous evening and took pride in perfecting the art of joint making. She handed him the joint as well as a lighter. “ There ya go, chief. Make momma proud.” A smirk followed this statement as she reached for her beer and took another swig. Taylor loved being outdoors with his two best girl friends. Being out here, they could all just chill, take a break from the real world. Right now, the real world wasn't a fun place to be. He had been on lockdown for what seemed like forever because he had gotten in trouble for coming home late. Oops. But it wasn't like Taylor needed alcohol and drugs to have fun. He had his friends...who happened to love partying. The booze and drugs were just an added bonus, but also very apparent in his everyday life. Whatever, he didn't have to worry about right and wrong anymore. He was just living in the moment, drinking beer with his friends. Who could ask for more?
The seventeen-year old partier turned to Addison when she began talking. He grinned at her making fun of Lollipop. Hey, he thought it was a classic, but everyone was entitled to his/her opinion. He loved the beat. Actually, Taylor felt an urge to dance as he felt the buzzing and fogginess surround his head. He was starting to get tipsy, and dancing was always more fun when drunk. He wouldn't dance by himself, of course. No, he always had girls to grind with. "Okay, says the girl who likes Mike Posner," he retorted with a smirk. Addison had good taste in music except for Mike Posner. That guy just screamed douchebag. Yeah, Taylor didn't care much for Top 40 music. Taylor glanced back at Parker when she noted Addison's nickname for her as cute. He gave a cheeky grin and playfully joked, "I think I might start calling you Park from now on." Taylor enjoyed messing with Parker; she was cute when she became irritated and annoyed. "The name suits you well, Park," he added, purposefully drawling out the nickname.
Taylor turned back to Addison, watching her flip through the songs on his iPod. He grinned when the opening beat to "Till I Collapse" by Eminem blasted through the speakers. "Good choice. I approve." He said with a satisfied smile, tucking a stray strand of Addison's blonde hair behind her ear. As he tapped his fingers to the drum beats, Taylor expectantly watched Addison file through her purse for a joint. He grew increasingly anxious for that high, suddenly feeling the invisible taste of pot in his mouth. He smiled at her comment as he took the joint from her hands. He didn't care that he was the only one smoking right now, but he did look back at Parker to see her reaction. He knew that she didn't really approve of his doing drugs, though he didn't know why she didn't approve - she had never told him. He wanted to make sure that she was fine before he lit up the joint. Seeing that her expression looked normal, to him at least, Taylor put the joint in his mouth and lit it up. Inhaling, then slowly exhaling, Taylor savored the taste and texture of the drug in his mouth. "God, I missed this," he said. It had been two weeks since he last did pot. He wasn't addicted, or so he says, but two weeks was still too long. He glanced at Addison and Parker, then said, "So, let's get this party started." Taylor was ready to dance, makeout, or just go crazy stirring shit up in the woods.

parker has never been all that tolerant of things that she didn't like. her biggest annoyance in the entire world were those people who acted like certain things didn't bother them. now, why smile and nod when it was happening and then bitch about it later to your friends when you could just make it stop just then? parker grimaced when taylor joined in all of the 'park' business, and shot the pair of her friends a noticeably fake angry look, a tightly wound smile spreading across her face, "i am not a car," she recited carefully, just she had since the tender age of ten, "nor a spot for them to sit atop." nothing much ever changed about her; she was like a rock that didn't change, no matter what kind of weather the sky was bringing. the girl had been nearly the same person since she was ten; with, you know, a few exceptions. just the same habits.
parker nodded in approval of the song just as taylor spoke, and gave a little roll of the eyes that was invisible behind those giant sunglasses of hers when the pot was fished out of addison's purse. of course, she had known that this was coming, and she was rather thankful that there wasn't anything else. at least, so far. parker didn't often trust her first instinct; she'd thought that her brother would never hurt their family, she'd thought that her parents would only leave on a long trip once, and here's the deal breaker, ladies and gentlemen: she'd thought that tyler was no threat to her hymen. parker had been wrong about all of those things. not just wrong, kind of on the other side of the spectrum. she wrinkled her surnburnt nose at the thought of her brother and parents and tyler, then reached for another beer. and another, that she then stored in her other hand, grinning inwardly at the cool glass when she pressed them against her lips.
over the edge of the bottle, warm chocolate brown eyes watched both addison and taylor as they climbed up high. gulp, gulp, gulp. she'd never expressed to them her true dislike for drugs, but she wasn't offered a joint, so she figured her distaste was often visible on her face. gulp, gulp, gulp. parker did, however, wonder why it was that her brother had loved the drugs enough to destroy his family. were they that good? gulp, gulp, gulp. she knew that it wasn't just pot that he had done. there was more than that. a familiar heavy feeling spilled into her body, the alcohol made her tongue weigh down and the world, it was just starting to spin. gulp. gulp. gulp. "you guys are in charge." she murmured, lowering the bottle from her lips, which were pulled back into a charming grin, "i'm just along for the drinks." parker raised the glass bottle up as if someone had just said 'cheers!'.
